President's Message

Dear TFAA Members and Colleagues,

It is a true honor to serve as President of the Texas Fine Arts Administrators Association. As a dedicated member of this organization for the past 14 years, I am proud of how far we’ve come and excited about where we’re headed.

TFAA stands as a unified voice for all fine arts strands—music, visual art, dance, theatre, and beyond. Our strength is in our commitment to representing and respecting every discipline. We believe in the value of each strand and the importance of working together to support the full landscape of fine arts education across our state.

At the heart of our work is a focus on developing strong, effective arts administrators. Supporting the growth and leadership of those who guide and shape fine arts programs remains one of our top priorities. We are also committed to being an active, responsive presence in all regions of Texas—ensuring that no matter where you serve, you feel seen, supported, and connected.

I am personally committed to building lasting, high-quality educational program offerings within TFAA—initiatives that not only create a sustainable revenue stream for our organization, but also ensure that Texas fine arts directors have access to the best training, tools, and leadership development available. Our mission is not just to lead today, but to invest in the future of arts administration for years to come.

This is a time of both challenge and opportunity in arts education. I believe that by standing together, learning from one another, and lifting each other up, we can continue to expand our impact and shape a strong future for the arts in Texas schools.

Thank you for your continued commitment and for all you do to support students, teachers, and the arts.

With appreciation,
Kim Blann
